Exactly! OT law was ‘an eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth’. But with Jesus Christ in the NT is now that we are to love our enemies, do good to those that despitefully use us. Also, our enemies are those of our own household and we should pray for them. (Household could also include the one you see in the mirror; and He says that anything we ask in His name, He is faithful to give to us — humility, understanding, mercy, wisdom, forgiveness, etc). So we should always trust and wait on the direction of the LORD.
