Michael, this was my “favorite” teaching so far. It has been on my heart that I live so well here, how do I look any different from the world and yet call myself a Christian. ? You stayed on the subject and the scriptures used are all building on topic of scripture revealing how to live for Christ-likeness. Thank you for this lesson! Illa

Excellent lesson reflexives on dying to self and inculcating godliness (and for explaining about my earlier question)!

Also, regarding Paul’s use of the words ‘convenient’ and ‘expedient’ can be better understood through Romans 1:28; Eph. 5:4; and 1 Cor. 6:12. Those words seem to be able to be used interchangeably, and by reading those passages (reading also the verses previous to and following those passages) do clarify their meaning for me.

And Matthew 5:17-20, Jesus calls us to a higher righteousness, above the hypocritical ‘righteousness’ of the scribes and Pharisees. And “They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick. Go and learn what that means, I will have mercy and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.” Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate and and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and many there be that go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way which leads to life and few there be that find it.

This lesson is so rich in the Spirit of God, Michael! Thank you!!!
