What is sin? Most of us would answer with a list of wrong things people do. But the first question God asked Adam after his disobedience wasn’t “What have you done?” It was “Where are you?” This study takes that question seriously. Drawing directly from Scripture, it shows that sin, at its root, is a condition every person is born into. Something vital is missing in us (absence), and a relationship that should exist is broken (separation). The behaviors we call sins are the fruit of that deeper condition. Most important of all, the study shows how God, through Christ, has filled what was missing and brought us home. It’s written to be read straight through, with a closing section of notes for those who want to dig into the Greek and Hebrew. SIN: A Closer Look
